The screenplay for the "Entourage" movie is nearly complete, reports the website Deadline. An appetite-whetting development for fans, it is also minor enough to pass for a plot detail that would close out a typical episode of the hit HBO show.
"Entourage" creator Doug Ellin said he is on page 110 of the script and plans to finish it by Sunday. He added the movie takes place six months after the scene outside the airplane in the September 2011 finale, which concluded the series' 96-episode run.
HBO still needs to approve the story before production begins. Network executives told Deadline they have heard only a "very general pitch."
The script is expected to cover Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) running a studio, as well as all of the guys — Vince (Adrian Grenier), Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), Eric (Kevin Connolly) and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) — "still hanging out and going to fun parties," Ellin said.
